Uptown Tour

Central Park – So many ways & places to explore Central Park & if you’re lucky enough the best is by foot on a nice Spring or Autumn day! Plan for a picnic if in a group & head to The Great Lawn or Sheep Meadow. If it is Winter or Summer it’s still just as good, it’s either just stinking hot & humid or briskly chill but very picturesque! Grab a Citi Bike & ride around as most roads are car free, look out for horses, joggers & cops! Spend 5 minutes reading this CP things to do & see list & you have it all covered!

Harlem – If you are doing the Big Bus Tour, it will take you through Harlem & you can see the changes in time of what used to be a no-go area unless of African-American heritage. Harlem draws a diverse crowd of locals and visitors nowadays. Trendy eateries, stylish clubs and bars make for an energetic nightlife scene. The area features a mix of 19th-century brownstones and modern high-rises. Its main artery, 125th Street, is home to the iconic Apollo Theater, as well as chain stores and restaurants namely Sylvia’s (southern comfort food, fried chicken & waffles) & Red Rooster (not the Aussie version!).

Upper East Side

The Metropolitan Museum of Art (The Met) – A massive building that could take days to explore if you’re into that or you just want to walk through in an hour or so! If it’s peak Summer time I highly recommend sneaking out to the rooftop bar for one overpriced
cocktail & view of Central Park!

The Guggenheim – Even if you’re not into art it is worth going to see the building & paying the entry for the inside view.

Bloomingdale’s – shopping or see if Rachel still works there!!!

Trump Tower – 5th Avenue heading back south you can go in, visit the Prez’s former residence & see the security surrounding the building – grab a drink at Starbucks.

Upper West Side

American Museum of Natural History – to the West side of Central Park between 77th & 81st Streets.

Lincoln Centre for the Performing Arts where you can catch a rare jazz/musical or cultural performance. There is also an Apple store & cinema nearby if needed to kill time.

Tom’s Restaurant – the facade of the building used as Monk’s restaurant in Seinfeld located at the corner of Broadway & West 112th Street.

Columbus Circle/Time Warner Centre – high end shopping, drinks or a bite to eat. Wholefoods can be a great place to stock up at for the picnic in the park!

Studio 54 is located between 8th Ave & Broadway on 54th St. It is now a non-profit theatre.
